How a fifty-two-year-old guy stays lean, energetic and feeling a lot younger than he looks!

I'll admit I was never overweight but, for a young guy, the skinny-fat look doesn't sit well. And I was determined to do something about it.

I had lived, slept and eaten in my car, day and night, for twenty years (no, I wasn't homeless, but I did drive for a living). And I blamed my lack of results on my sedentary lifestyle and irregular sleeping and eating habits.

I was... misguided (I'd say I was kidding myself, but you don't know what you don't know, right?)

I don't even know what specifically triggered me to take action, but against every natural instinct in my body (as a seriously introverted dude who hated any sort of attention), I entered an online body transformation contest...

Along with around 2000 other people!

And against all hope and expectation, I won the category of "Most Ripped", after just 14 short weeks.

At the age of 41, I was sub 8% body fat and felt more confident, more healthy and more alive than ever before.

But what was most surprising was how simple it was. Of course, it was physically challenging, but it struck me that when your mind is in the right place, almost anything is achievable.

And almost overnight (three months to be exact), I had developed habits that will last a lifetime. Habits that have kept me lean and energetic for 11 years now and will continue to do so.

It was nothing to do with my job after all!

So I trained and qualified as a personal trainer, and have been studying, learning and coaching the art of healthy habits and effective diet ever since.

I'm a great believer in the power of the mind, and when you combine a positive attitude with a solid exercise program, daily movement and eating for health, I think you will be amazed at what your body will give you in return.
